Job description
Bookkeeper and General Office Assistant
Flexible, can be combined with the customer care position for full-time
Job Summary: Position includes AR/AP clerical, bookkeeping, project management, relief for front-desk/customer care.
Responsibilities:
- Provides general office assistance including phone, mail, ticket and email support
- Provides simple estimates
- Communicates complex estimates
- Monitors job progress and schedules
- Monitors orders and information requests and communicates with vendors, clients or staff as required.
- Converts estimates to invoices
- Ensures invoices are ready before client arrives to pickup up job or job is shipped.
- Enters vendor invoices into accounting programs
- Enters client payments into CRM. Assists with Interact/Visa/Mastercard transactions
- Prepares deposits
- Reports or follows-up on outstanding invoices
- Compiles any needed reports
- Assists with incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintains an organized filing system
- Assists in research
- Orders office supplies
- Reconciles accounts
- Keeps track of book inventory
- Conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.

Job Requirements:
- Post secondary training in bookkeeping and/or previous office experience required.
- Self starter able to work with minimal supervision
